Making the choice to come to therapy is hard, so congratulations on taking the first step! My name is Lisa Wallace, and I'm here to help you figure out where you want to go from here. Whether your path on this journey is with me or someone else, I promise to support you as best I can.

I believe we all have personal power we can tap into, foster, and utilize. Cultivating that personal agency can help us navigate, and potentially even thrive, in a world where we might not hold other types of power. I see true healing as being able to harness our unique potential to ultimately affect change in ourselves and the world around us.

What to expect working with me

I use a mindfulness-based approach to therapy, meaning I will work with you to help you understand your whole self and approach different facets of your life and experiences with loving kindness.

  • We start with the idea that there is nothing inherently wrong with us, that “basic badness” is not part of the human condition

  • Together, we acknowledge that there is nothing wrong with us, but there is still something wrong.

  • We explore your unique identity and how it relates to your experiences and traumas.

  • We use a mindfulness approach to therapy to help you gain an understanding of yourself and how you interact with the world.
